UAE visa amnesty: Typing centres urge applicants to bring all necessary documents

Typing centres in the UAE are urging amnesty seekers to ensure they have all necessary documents as many applicants are arriving with incomplete paperwork. 

The amnesty scheme, launched on September 1, 2024, allows illegal expats to legalize their status or obtain an outpass without exiting the country.

Typing centres near the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in Al Rahmaniya are experiencing a surge of applicants. 

However, many are unprepared, especially those who need to cancel their previous visas before applying for new employment. 

Applicants seeking outpasses must bring their passports, photos, and expired visas.

To attract more applicants, some typing centres have reduced fees and are even offering transportation across the highway to facilitate the process. 

Additionally, typing centres on the old immigration road in Sharjah are receiving numerous inquiries from amnesty seekers.
