UAE updates visa-on-arrival for 87 countries; is India included?

The United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced an update to its visa exemption policy and will now allow citizens from 87 countries to enter the UAE without needing a pre-entry visa.

The updated regulations say that nationals from from 110 countries are required to obtain a visa prior to their arrival in the UAE, according to Gulf News.

The UAE Digital Government has made it clear that citizens of the GCC do not require a visa or sponsorship to travel to the country. They can enter simply by showing a passport from a GCC state or an identity card when they arrive at UAE entry points.

According to Gulf News report, individuals abroad are urged to visit the provided link (https://www.visitdubai.com/en/plan-your-trip/visa-information) to access the list of nationalities exempt from prior visa arrangements.

“Those eligible can obtain a valid entry visa for 30 days upon arrival, with a grace period of 10 days. Additionally, citizens from select countries can obtain a visa for 90 days upon arrival.”

How can Indian citizens access the visa on arrival facility?
Indian citizens with passports, US visit visas or green cards, UK or EU residence visas valid for at least six months, can get a visa on arrival. This lets them stay for 14 days, with a chance to extend for another 14 days.
