This UK university just launched a scholarship dedicated to Indian students

The University of Sussex has introduced a scholarship dedicated to students from India. The Sussex India Scholarship aims to offer financial aid to eligible Indian nationals pursuing master’s courses at Sussex starting in September 2024.

The scholarship fund, totalling £4,000, provides an opportunity for outstanding international Master’s and Bachelor’s applicants to also apply for the Chancellor's International Scholarship, valued at £5,000. The University has also launched the John Kinghorn Scholarship in Engineering (2024), offering £10,000 to each of four deserving recipients.

In further support of Indian students, the University is introducing £2,000 ‘Tuition Fee Awards’ for those enrolling in eligible master’s programs within the School of Engineering and Informatics or the University of Sussex Business School. This initiative aligns with our commitment to attracting and nurturing talented individuals from India, facilitating their academic and professional pursuits.

Professor Robin Banerjee, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global and Civic Engagement) at the University of Sussex, expressed enthusiasm about the scholarships, saying, "At the University of Sussex, we are delighted to offer these substantial scholarships that will support talented Indian students and promote international collaboration and diversity within our academic community." He further emphasized the significance of Indian students within the global student community, eagerly anticipating the arrival of the next cohort to the campus.

The Sussex India Scholarship aims to empower Indian students in their educational journey at Sussex, reflecting the University's ongoing dedication to enhancing accessibility to higher education for international students, especially those from India, the University of Sussex said in a statement.

The deadline for applications for the Chancellor's International Scholarship is 1 May 2024, and for the Sussex India Scholarship, it is 1 September 2024. Interested applicants are encouraged to visit
