Taiwan is Surging with new visa free travel policy for 55 countries, including Schengen nations, USA and Malaysia

Taiwan, officially known as the Republic of China, is a nation located in East Asia.

The main island, often called Formosa, lies between the East and South China Seas in the northwestern Pacific Ocean.

It is bordered by the People’s Republic of China to the northwest, Japan to the northeast, and the Philippines to the south.

With easy free access to USA, France ,Thailand and several other countries Tairwan has propelled tourism mammothly.

This strategic location underscores Taiwan’s significant maritime and geopolitical importance in the region.

The majority of Taiwan’s inbound tourists came from Hong Kong and Macao, totaling approximately 1.2 million.

In contrast, around 226 thousand mainland Chinese tourists visited Taiwan that year.Most of Taiwan’s inbound tourists came from Hong Kong and Macao.

On May 30, 2024, it was reported that Taiwan’s real GDP grew by 6.56% in Q1 2024 compared to the same period the previous year.

The real GDP is projected to grow by 3.94% for the entire year of 2024. Taiwan’s primary exports include electronics, basic metals and metal products, plastics and rubber, chemicals, and machinery.
