The Swedish Migration Agency has advised all those who want to apply for a work permit to submit their applications well in advance of the end-of-year holidays to avoid response delays.
Through an official statement, the Agency explained that between December 21 and January 2, there will be fewer working staff members, leading to longer processing times.
To help applicants receive a faster response in their application and the staff with a large number of applications, the Agency said that everyone who plans on doing so should submit their work permit application as soon as possible, Schengen.News reports.
In addition to the above-mentioned, the Agency made the same call to the concerned employers.
Moreover, it recommended that work permit applicants submit applications that are fully completed and contain correct information. This will help the authorities to process applications faster and more efficiently without having to require applicants to provide additional documents.
As for those applying for other types of permits or citizenship, The Local Sweden explains that the Agency did not make any recommendation.
