Saudi Arabia opens Umrah pilgrimage to all visa holders

Saudi Arabia has announced that persons with any type of visa are now eligible to perform Umrah, or minor pilgrimage at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

Saudi Ministry of Haj and Umrah said, “Visitors can effortlessly perform Umrah from any location and with any entry visa, ensuring ease and peace of mind.”The ministry added that all visa holders, including personal, family, transit, labor, and e-visas, are permitted to participate in Umrah. To ensure a convenient and trouble-free journey for Umrah pilgrims, the Saudi ministry has urged them to use the Nusuk application to acquire their Umrah permits.

It has asked pilgrims to ad The deadline for Umrah pilgrims to depart for the current year of 1445 AH will be June 6, corresponding to the 29th of Dhu al-Qa’dah. Saudi Arabia has implemented various amenities for international Muslims to undertake the Umrah pilgrimage. Umrah, a sacred journey to Islam's two most revered locations in the cities of Mecca and Medina, can be completed at any point throughout the year. It is distinct from the Hajj, which occurs annually.
