SAIT partners with Border Pass to streamline study permit processing for international students.
The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is working with BorderPass to make it easier for international students to navigate the study permit process with a new partnership.
This partnership will enable new international students at SAIT to access a trusted online platform that will offer complementary services to those provided by SAIT's International Centre.
The primary goal of this partnership is to support international students from the time they arrive in Canada to beyond their graduation from SAIT.
In other words, this partnership will facilitate a platform that assists students on their entire journey to SAIT and beyond, from the time they receive their letter of acceptance to when they seek out post-graduation employment.
Using tools and resources designed to help track study permit progress, assist them with visa applications, and provide them access to early planning tools for settlement, new international students will receive access to a variety of helpful BorderPass services while actively enrolled at SAIT.
Specifically, the BorderPass services that SAIT-enrolled students may benefit from include:
- Study permit application preparation, review, and filing services through BorderPass with support from Canadian immigration lawyers;
- Notifications of key dates, continuous monitoring, and management of visas and immigration documentation in BorderPass’ Document Vault to help ensure compliance;
- Access to professional legal immigration experts, including one-on-one consultations and email/chat support with prompt response times;
- Guidance, tips, and visibility on permanent residency pathways and relevant employment outcomes through the platform; and
- Essential services for newcomers including social insurance number registration, high-level tax advising, and additional support through a network of trusted providers.
