Ontario, British Columbia and Manitoba invite candidates to apply for provincial nomination

Between August 24-30, three Canadian provinces issued invitations under their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).

Ontario issued 1,287 notifications of interest on August 22 through its Express Entry Skilled Trades stream.

Candidates required a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 400 and 435 and relevant work experience in targeted occupations.

British Columbia issued over 158 invitations on August 27 across five targeted draws, focusing on childcare, construction, healthcare, tech, and veterinary care occupations.

Minimum scores ranged from 80 to 118, depending on the occupation.

Manitoba invited 150 candidates on August 30 through two streams.

The International Education stream invited 126 candidates with no minimum score, while the Skilled Worker Overseas stream invited 24 candidates with a minimum score of 727.

Among all invitees, 21 had a valid Express Entry profile.

These draws highlight the ongoing efforts by provinces to attract skilled workers, contributing to Canada’s goal of welcoming 110,000 new permanent residents through the PNP in 2024.
