An Australian scientist from the University of Tasmania claims to have solved the mystery of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, which disappeared in 2014 with 239 people on board.
The scientist suggests that the plane is located in a 6,000-meter-deep trench at the eastern end of the Broken Ridge in the Southern Indian Ocean.
Despite the largest aviation search in history ending in 2017 without success, this new theory is based on intersecting data from Penang airport and the pilot's home flight simulator, previously dismissed by authorities.
The scientist asserts that science has now pinpointed the location of MH370, but it's up to officials to decide if further searches will be conducted.
