Is the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program right for you?

The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) is an economic immigration initiative aimed at addressing the labour market needs of employers in the province while attracting skilled workers, international graduates, and entrepreneurs who are interested in settling permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador.

For Employers with Labour Market Challenges:
Employers facing workforce shortages can work with Labour Market Development Officers, who will help identify the most suitable immigration pathway through the NLPNP. If the program fits the employer's needs, these officers assist in completing the Job Vacancy Assessment (JVA) application, which is a crucial step in the process.
For Skilled Workers, International Graduates, and Entrepreneurs:

The NLPNP offers several categories for prospective immigrants:
• Express Entry Skilled Worker: For individuals with a high likelihood of economic establishment in Newfoundland and Labrador and who are in the federal Express Entry pool.
• Skilled Worker: For those with a guaranteed job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer or who are already working in the province on a valid work permit.
• International Graduate: For recent graduates from eligible Canadian post-secondary institutions who have a job or job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer.
• International Entrepreneur: For experienced business owners or senior managers who want to • invest in, establish, or buy a business in the province.
• International Graduate Entrepreneur: For recent graduates of eligible Newfoundland and Labrador post-secondary institutions who have started or acquired a business in the province.

Successful applicants through these categories may become permanent residents of Canada, contributing positively to the local economy and community.
