Express Entry: IRCC invites 1,121 Provincial Nominee Program candidates in latest draw

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 1,121 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in its latest Express Entry draw, focusing on Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 694.

 This is the fourth draw in August, following earlier draws for French-speaking proficiency, Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and PNP candidates.

IRCC has been conducting multiple draws every other week, emphasizing PNP and CEC categories to reduce temporary residents and meet permanent residency targets outlined in the Immigration Levels Plan 2024-2026. 

The department aims to welcome 110,770 newcomers through Express Entry in 2024 and 117,500 in 2025.

Express Entry manages applications for Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, and Canadian Experience Class programs, ranking candidates based on factors like work experience, education, and language skills. IRCC has also introduced category-based rounds targeting candidates with specific occupations or language abilities since May 2023.
