The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) recently announced an expansion of the check-in service provided at New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium metro stations on the Airport Express Line.
Initially launched in the first week of June, this service was designed to streamline travel procedures for passengers flying internationally via Indira Gandhi International Airport.
In a move to enhance passenger convenience, DMRC, in collaboration with Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), Air India, and Vistara Airlines, has broadened the scope of its ‘Check-in & Baggage-Drop’ service.
Previously exclusive to domestic travelers, this facility is now extended to international passengers traveling with Air India and Vistara Airlines.
Anuj Dayal, the Principal Executive Director of Corporate Communications at DMRC, emphasized the aim of the initiative to simplify check-in processes for international flyers at these pivotal metro stations in Delhi.
The success of this service has been noted by DMRC, with Dayal reporting encouraging participation from passengers.
Looking forward, DMRC is keen on inviting more airlines to establish similar facilities, aiming to broaden the benefits for a larger number of travelers.
