Canada Express Entry is a program for skilled immigrants seeking permanent residency in Canada administered by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) through a variety of programs including the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Provincial Nominee Program.
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is designed to attract workers with the necessary skills, education, and job experience to contribute to the economy of a certain province or territory while becoming permanent residents of Canada. Each province and territory has its immigration policy that targets different groups, including students, business owners, skilled workers, and semi-skilled workers.
The Canadian government employs the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rank candidates based on age, education, work experience, and language ability, with each Express Entry draw’s cut-off score influencing the overall score, even if the lowest-ranked applicant receives an ITA for permanent residence.
