What Is Victoria’s Skilled Visa Nomination Program?
The Victoria Skilled Visa Nomination Program is a Victorian government initiative that allows skilled workers from Australia and other countries to seek state nomination for two categories of visas:
•        A permanent visa that allows one to reside and work in Victoria is the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190).
•        The skilled work regional (provisional) visa (subclass 491) is a five-year visa that offers a route to permanent residence after fulfilling employment and residential requirements in regional Victoria.
The goal of this initiative is to draw talent to fields that are vital to the economic and future growth of the state.

Who Can Apply for the Victoria Skilled Visa Nomination Program?
Skilled workers from offshore and onshore are eligible to apply.

The following are the main prerequisites for eligibility:
Requirements
•        At the time of nomination, the candidate must be younger than 45.
•        English proficiency is required (minimum IELTS score of 6.0 in each band or above).
•        must possess a legitimate skills evaluation in a field that qualifies.
•        must score at least 65 points, including nomination points, on the Australian Government’s points test.
•        must have a sincere desire to reside and work in Victoria.

Extra Information:
•        Onshore candidates have to be Victoria residents at the moment.
•        Applications from overseas are encouraged, particularly in priority fields including education, social services, and health.
•        Jobs That Qualify for the Victoria Skill Shortage Program
•        All professions on the Skilled Occupation List of the Australian Government are qualified. Nonetheless, Victoria prioritizes certain businesses, including:
Health
•        Social Services
•        Education (Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary)
•        Construction
•        New Energy
•        Digital Economy (491 visa)
•        Advanced Manufacturing (491 visa)
•        Hospitality and Tourism (491 visa)
